Creativity Connection Series (Ages 18+) – Connect to your creative side while connecting with others. We are born creatives. Sadly, we forget this as we focus on perfection. Connecting to your creativity is not about perfection but embracing imperfection. Playful creativity is also a great way to release stress and anxiety. This monthly series will explore different ways to connect to our creative selves. Classes start Wednesday, April 3rd. 

Creative Awakening – Unleash your inner creative with playful exercises that get you to relax, have fun, and open up to creative thinking. We’ll explore collaborative games that help us think spontaneously while using art, words, and movement in inventive ways. Come prepared to move and interact with each other during this creative playtime. (First Wednesdays. 7:00 pm)

Creative Drawing – Many of us think we can’t draw because we’re not DaVinci. There is more to creative drawing than lifelike images. A stick figure is still a creative work of art. Let go of your expectations, and the perceived expectations of others, and learn ways to bring out your inner child artist again. (Second Wednesdays. 7:00 – 8:00 pm)

Creative Composition – Let’s have fun being creative with words. We will do playful exercises to bring out your inner wordsmith. You will explore ways to express yourself with words from the written to the spoken, prose to poetry, the serious and the silly. (Third Wednesdays. 7:00 – 8:00 pm)

Creative Construction – We’re making puppets! You’ll have various materials to make your puppet creation. You can make a sock puppet, paper bag puppet, stick puppet, finger puppet, or a style of puppet uniquely your own. If there’s time, we can do a short puppet show. (Fourth Wednesdays. 7:00 – 8:00 pm)

New on Wednesday! Creative Journaling after the Creativity Connections Class (18+) 8:15 – 9:15 pm

Work on a creative journal using stickers, stamps, scraps, crayons, colored pencils, markers, washi tape, etc. Journals and supplies are included.

Monday is Create Playground, an open creativity session. (18+). 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Work on a creative journal or collage using stickers, stamps, scraps, crayons, colored pencils, markers, washi tape, etc. There will be supplies so you can work on various crafts or have fun building with magnetic tiles, tinker toys, bristle blocks, and more.

Please register in advance so we have enough supplies for everyone. Payment is due before the start of class.

Classes are $20 each, $70 for all classes/sessions each month. 

Register for all four Wednesday Creative Connections classes and all four Monday Creative Playground sessions, get a discounted rate of $120.

Add the Wednesday Creative Journaling class to the creativity class for only $10 per week.
